## How it works

1. Scan the challan: the driver photographs one or more challan pages. Text recognition runs on the phone, so invoice numbers, date and time are read even on a weak network.
2. Confirm the trip: the driver checks the numbers and picks the vehicle and company. The trip cost comes from the rate card for that company and vehicle type.
3. Download the bill: at month-end the office picks a date range, a company or a vehicle, and a bill number. LogiHaul builds a PDF of every trip and challan.

### What is LogiHaul?
LogiHaul is trip, challan and billing software for transport companies in India. ### How does challan scanning work?
The driver photographs one or more challan pages in the LogiHaul app. Text recognition runs on the phone itself, picks out the invoice numbers, date and time, and fills the trip form. The driver checks the numbers, picks the vehicle and company, and saves the trip.

### How are trip rates and bills calculated?
You set a rate for each company and vehicle type once. Every trip takes its cost from that rate card automatically. To bill, choose a date range of up to a year, optionally a company or a vehicle, enter your bill number, and LogiHaul produces a PDF bill listing every trip and its challans.

### Is my company's data kept separate from other transport companies?
Yes. Every record in LogiHaul belongs to one organisation, and every query is scoped to it, so one transport company can never see another's trips, rates or bills. Passwords are hashed with Argon2id, sessions use secure cookies, and every change is protected against cross-site request forgery.

### Which devices does LogiHaul run on?
Drivers use the LogiHaul app on Android phones. Admins can use the same app or the web dashboard in any modern browser on a laptop or desktop. Drivers only record trips; reports, rates and fleet settings are limited to admin accounts.
